How
Student home drives are created automatically when you enrol in a SCIS unit.
Access
Three separate ways of accesing your home drive are available. Each method is suitable for
accessing your data from a different place.
-
UNC
This is the standard way of accessing your drive in the SCIS labs. You'll notice
that when you open the 'Home Drive' link on your desktop, the address resembles
\\scismlfs2.ads.ecu.edu.au\stuhome\<username>
, where <username> is your ADS username.
-
HTTP
This method provides read-only access to your data from outside the University.
Simply point your web browser at http://stuhome.scis.ecu.edu.au/,
enter your ADS username and password, and select your username from the list. Remember
to preceed your username with ADS\
.
-
FTP
If you require read/write access to your data from an off-campus location, this
is the method you should use. Enter the following details in your ftp client:
Server name: stuhome.scis.ecu.edu.au
TCP Port: 21
Username/password: Your ADS username and password. Remember to
preceed your username with ADS\.
