SCIS provides development servers for students to use to assist with their projects. There are currently two servers available for use, each offering different services. Students are assigned to a project group by their lecturers and are given access to all of the following services.
Note: The login details will be your standard ADS username. If you are having problems, try adding the domain to your username, i.e. ads\username
Windows Development Server
Each group will be given a unique team name, generally in the format teamxxx
The server has hard drive redundancy and is secured accordingly for development, however due to the nature of development, downtime can be expected due to runaway processes.
Project Labs will have scheduled maintenance and regular machine health checks to ensure the integrity of project machines.
All enquires MUST be directed to the supervisor. SCIS Support are not staffed
to train, supervise, consult, and debug projects or non-functioning code.
If a problem arises, students should consult their supervisor. The supervisor will
then escalate to SCIS Support if a problem/issue exists.
